Most page builders save a private document that WordPress itself barely understands. When the builder dies, the site is stuck.
A WordPress theme and editor that keep pages as real content, not a locked canvas.
Nought's structured WordPress theme and editor. Build pages from real components, preview the change, keep the content in WordPress.
Forge is a full-site WordPress theme plus an editor. Pages are made from registered components — hero, text, images, buttons, repeatable groups — not a mystery layout file. You can bind those pieces to normal WordPress fields or Advanced Custom Fields, preview a change before it goes live, and still edit the content in WordPress afterwards. It is in beta. It is not a drag-everything-anywhere builder, and it does not write new PHP from the browser.
Why the usual way hurts
- The live site is a page-builder document that only that builder can open.
- Clients cannot change a heading without breaking the layout.
- Handing a site on means handing on a proprietary canvas.
How Nought does it
Ship a theme made of real components. Let people compose and preview pages. Keep the words, images and fields in WordPress.
The actual workflow
Not a feature grid. The sequence you would actually run.
Build a page from pieces that already exist
- 1 Open the editor on a page
- 2 Compose from registered components
- 3 Bind headings and images to WordPress or ACF fields
- 4 Preview, then apply
Product, not a mock
Screenshots and video will land here. Placeholders mark the real UI rather than decorating empty space with fake dashboards.

WordPress stays the source of truth
Posts, pages, media and fields live in WordPress. The theme renders them.
ACF and native fields
Text, media, links, groups and repeaters can be bound to Advanced Custom Fields or ordinary WordPress meta.
Preview before apply
See the change, then apply it. Production writes are gated on purpose.
Coming

Theme and plugin
The theme is the look. The plugin is the editor, components and safety rails. They are meant to be used together.
No mystery PHP from the browser
New components go through source control. The editor composes what already exists.
System requirements
- WordPress 6.7 or later
- PHP 8.2 or later

Questions
Is this a page builder?
It is an editor on top of a real theme. Pages are components WordPress can still render. It is not a locked canvas that only Forge can open.
Can I use the plugin on any theme?
The intended experience is the Forge theme plus the plugin. The plugin can sit on a supported third-party theme, but that path is still being proven. Do not assume every theme works.
