Is Hewn another drag-and-drop page builder?
Hewn is a WordPress theme and visual editor. Developers build the page sections, and editors choose, arrange and fill them with content. The theme controls how each section looks.
Where does the content live?
In WordPress. Hewn can bind components to native post data, media and custom fields, including Advanced Custom Fields. The theme remains responsible for rendering the page.
Can editors invent new components in the browser?
Developers add new components in the theme. Editors can then use those components and their available layouts to build pages.
Can I use Hewn with any WordPress theme?
Hewn is designed around its reference theme. Support for selected third-party themes is being proven during beta, so compatibility should be discussed before relying on it.
Is Hewn ready for production?
Hewn is currently in beta. Talk to us about your site before using it in production so we can check compatibility and explain the current limitations.
